Upcoming Workshop with NKCDC: Storefront Improvement Program (SIP)

adorn SIP02

You spoke, we listened! Last year’s business survey indicated area businesses want to   learn more about the City’s Storefront Improvement Program (SIP). Your chance is coming soon – NKCDC has partnered with the Commerce Department and local business, Adorn Boutique, to offer a workshop on SIP.
The Commerce Department administers SIP which reimburses owners of eligible commercial buildings and businesses who make storefront improvements. The program can reimburse up to 50% of the cost of eligible improvements to a maximum of $8,000 for a single commercial property, or up to $12,000 for a multiple address, or corner business property.

Updating, renovating or just sprucing up your facade doesn’t have to be a hassle. Join us on February 25th to:
•    Learn about the nuts and bolts of the program from Jonathan Snyder – Program Manager for the Commerce Department.
•    Hear from Sarah Lewis, owner of Adorn Boutique, about her experience with SIP
•    Meet NKCDC representatives who can help guide you through the process.
•    Ask questions about the process, the timeline, etc…
If your commercial property is on a commercial corridor (Frankford, Girard, Front, Kensington, Allegheny, Richmond) or nearby, you don’t want to miss this event!
