Bottle Bar East

This November at Bottle Bar East, we are featuring local Fishtown-based artist Riss Kpf. This First Friday, join us for an opening along the Frankford Avenue arts corridor that is not to be missed.

This body of work comprises of women, gender nonconforming folx, queers and people of color representing empowerment and body positivity. Most of these pieces are a collaboration between artist, and model, as references for each piece come from “selfies”. Models were encouraged to present a moment of self-confidence and pride. Artist Riss Kpf is not interested in what the media provides as the “ideal” form. The hope is that illustrating these beautiful and unique bodies will promote body positivity for the viewer as well, if only for a moment.

We would love to see you this First Friday, November 3, 2016 from 5-7pm to celebrate the opening of this significant show. Enjoy beers and eat fried cauliflower tacos with yourself or someone special. The show will remain up the entire month of November.
