Liaison Room at Front St Cafe

Each month we will showcase a different Bangarang Resident(s) and a special guest DJ. We will also feature a different visual artist on display with wares available for purchase. We all love to dress up and wear costumes, and while there is no theme for this event, like there are for others of ours, we highly encourage you to dress up in your funnest, funkiest, fanciest, most fabulous, most you attire, whatever you feel like! Come out and support your local artists while enjoying the low, sweet hum of bass, sipping on a drink and catching up — for old time’s sake!

This month, on Friday April 5th, we’ll have musical performances from special guest, Dedwork, and Bangarang’s own Jeff Omega and Alex The Great. Our featured artist of the month is Colin Dooley!

April First Friday Opening Reception: “How could I say no to you?”

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Autumn Wallace
April 5th – 26th, 2019

To Autumn Wallace, Faux-Pas is a destination island where anything is possible. On this island [floated in a small undisclosed Philadelphia enclave], Autumn blends daily life with their borderline obsessions. Prominent features of the island’s attractions include 90’s cartoons, Baroque aesthetics, and “adult Materials” arranged in painting and sculptures, stirring up narratives of chaotic [con]fusion. Why? Eluding reason boosts emotional response, makes viewers voyeurs, or participants–no bystanders. Here, absurdity is the moderator and we’re all in for the ride.

She focuses on vibrantly sharing the stories of people in hopes we can connect and resonate with humans who are different from themselves.
